Thanks to a grant from the Pewsey Area Board, for the first time ever we were able to offer a stained glass project for our Pewsey members with nationally acclaimed, Marlborough based, glass artist Sasha Ward. You can see some of our members beautiful pieces above.

We are ever so grateful to artist Sue Martin who has devised a fun project for our members to work on at home while our groups take a break over the summer. The summer holidays can sometime feel quite long, so the project is a great way to stay in touch with one another. Each member will receive a part of a painting (they don't know the painting) and in the Autumn we'll piece the images together to form one large collaborative piece! What a wonderful opportunity to see how creative our members can be - stay tuned for The Big Picture Reveal when our groups get back together in the week of September 11th.
When our new term starts in September, we will need some extra volunteers to support our Trowbridge group on Thursday mornings. If you have a few hours a week to spare to spend some time with truly wonderful individuals and would like to really make a difference to people's lives then please get in touch.

Arts Together at the palace
On the 12th July 2023, His Majesty King Charles III welcomed to St James’s Palace 150 individuals representing charities who have benefitted from awards by The Prince of Wales's Charitable Fund. Arts Together was one of 8 of those charities invited to showcase their work and be presented to His Majesty. As you can imagine, our display was full of colour and creativity. Arts Together Chair of Trustees Yvonne Maunder, Member Trustee Valerie Burford and Organisation manager Julieann Worrall Hood discussed with His Majesty how we work to improve the quality of life of older people in Wiltshire through the arts.

A warm welcome at Melksham
There was a hubbub of friendly chat at our Melksham group in May, as directors and representatives from the Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund, the Prince’s Countryside Trust and Waitrose visited the group to find out more about Arts Together and meet some of our members, volunteers, staff team, trustees and artist Knati Powell.
It was an honour to be awarded funding by the Prince of Wales's Charitable Fund and to be selected for a visit from their team and Waitrose partners. The grant has not only enabled us to continue our vital work in a very practical way, but also raised the profile of Arts Together.

Sculpture Success
On July 1st, Judy Boyt delivered a wonderful workshop at her studo in the woods. 8 lucky people got to learn some of Judy's techniques in a masterclass, with a delicious lunch in beautiful surroundings. This was a fundraising event for Arts Together. Keep an eye out for future one-off opportunities to meet and learn from leading artists like Judy and support Arts Together at the same time.
"I found the session inspiring and I was truly amazed at what I was able to produce (with Judy's expert support). Thanks once again for organising such a brilliant event."
